Calendar
2027 tax-season calendar
Forms for 2026 activity are furnished in early 2027. This page repeats IRS due-date rules and only projects a broker window when that broker has a verified recurring pattern. A 2026 season date is not treated as the 2027 date.
IRS furnish-to-recipient rules
- The IRS guide to information returns lists February 15 as the date Form 1099-B is due to the recipient, and January 31 for several other 1099s, including 1099-DIV. If the date falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday, it moves to the next business day.
- For 2025 Forms 1099-DA, the IRS newsroom said brokers must send recipient statements by February 17, 2026. That is the 2026 season, not automatically the 2027 date.
- February 15, 2027 is a Monday, and it is Washington’s Birthday (the third Monday in February). Under the IRS weekend-and-holiday rule, a February 15 due date would move to the next business day, February 16, 2027. Confirm the observed date on IRS.gov before you rely on it. Brokers often furnish earlier, or later when they have an extension.
